Battery Range Guide (Distance)

  • Range for Electric Bikes is hard to predict because there are so many variables such as rider weight, riding style, bike, tyres, conditions, wind, etc
  • All the ranges here are a rough indication. Further distances can be achieved by using your legs more. Throttle only at high power without pedaling and the range will be substantially less.
  • All the ranges are based on a 70kg rider at medium power and using pedal assist
  • If all the motors travelled at the same speed the range would be the same

  • 36v250w with 10ah battery: 30 - 40km
  • 36v250w with 13ah battery: 40 - 50km
  • 36v250w with 16ah battery: 50 - 60km
  • 36v250w with 17.5ah battery: 60 - 70km
  • 36v250w with 20ah battery: 85 - 100km
    • 36v350w would get about 5% less range than the 36v250w motors
    • 36v500w would get about 10% less range than the 36v250w motors
    • This is because the 36v350w and 36v500w motors are more powerful and would be travelling faster

  • 48v750w with 48v20ah battery: 80 - 110km
  • 48v750w with 48v12.8ah battery: 40 - 50km
  • 48v750w with 48v14ah battery: 50-60km
    • The BBSHD is more powerful and would be travelling faster however if the BBSHD and 48v750w travelled at the same speed the range would be the same
  • BBSHD with 48v20ah battery: 80 - 100km
  • BBSHD with 48v30ah battery: 85 - 120km
